Rachel Olsen LMT, CST-T
Rachel is a certified CranioSacral therapist and a licensed massage therapist in addition to her skillets in athletic training, exercise science, psychology, anatomy, biology, and physiology that she acquired through courses taken during high school and subsequently while attending Brigham Young University. She utilizes the most effective tools from all aspects of her professional foundation in order to facilitate uniquely tailored therapy sessions based on the wellness goals of each client.
Rachel’s passion for the profound benefits of CranioSacral Therapy is what led her to seek a career as a manual therapist. Rachel's CranioSacral Therapy knowledge comes from her formal coursework as well as her 16 years of real world experience in both giving and receiving CranioSacral Therapy. Receiving CranioSacral Therapy helped Rachel to heal from fibromyalgia, trauma, sports injuries, and a variety of other physical ailments. Rachel is affiliated with Upledger Institute (the institute created by Dr. John Upledger, the founder of CranioSacral Therapy) where she pursues advanced coursework and serves as a teaching assistant.
Rachel is a graduate of Cortiva Institute where she received training in 12 different massage modalities. While Rachel appreciates the massage modalities, she confesses that the manual therapy of CranioSacral Therapy has her heart.
In 2019, Rachel opened her full-time private practice, Auburn Leaf Bodywork. In private practice Rachel works with clients of all ages and for all types of conditions, even working with animal clients such as horses or dogs, and providing CranioSacral Therapy at events such as healing retreats, athletic events or during a client's child birthing process. Rachel's non private practice work includes two years at a chiropractic office specializing in auto accident recovery, and time spent as a CranioSacral and massage therapist at a healing spa.
When Rachel isn’t participating in body work she can be found mothering her kiddos, visiting with friends and family or relishing in precious alone time. A perfect day to Rachel might include eating Hu chocolate bars poolside while reading non-fiction or listening to her favorite music and laughing with loved ones.
